This July when okie and Destin came up and rode with us Alec blew up his TRX90. We got the motor freed up and he has been riding it that way ever since. It has been smoking severely and burning oil.
I ordered parts a couple weeks ago. Trx90 is actually 86cc. It will now be a 114cc with a high compression piston, TBQ race cam and an oil cooler to help keep it cool so he doesn't blow it up again. I got all the parts in today so hopefully I can get it running soon. From what I have read it should make it quite a little beast.

I tore the 90 apart yesterday. The piston was scored terribly. The rod had even scored to the wrist pin, I'm just gonna emery it and run it. I need to get a die grinder or dremel tool after the block so the 114 kit will fit in it. I already gutted the stock pipe, I can't beleive how restricted it was. Jets seem to be my problem right now hard to find that big of jets for a little carb.

I'm so sick of hearing about how reliable Honda is. I got it put together this afternoon, d**n thing blew a headgasket after a couple minutes of idleing. I have a new base gasket and a new special alloy head gasket on order.
I bought this TRX90 because of Honda reliablity. Seems like I have had more problems with this quad then any other, and it is only 10 months old now. I think I did figure out what happened to it. When it was assembled they left a peice of gasket between the base and cylinder. I think that caused it to run lean and would explain why it always seemed to run so hot. GUys at the Honda shop said it was normal.
