That looks good man. Did you make the frame yourself?

yes,I got a tube bender and my boss bought a tig wielder. I've fabed almost everything you see I've got to get the exhaust bracket made and run some brake line. then Ill start wiring thats my next big challenge. the paint is what you see were going to put a flat clear over the tins and frame. he wanted real raw looking so thats what I came up with.

Thats cool man. Id like to make my own frames, but with the Hondas Im doing, its almost easier just to modify a stock frame. I finally have my 650 100% finished, and going to start on my 750 as soon as I can get my Dads motorcycle parts out of my storage shed to tear down the 750.

doing the frame was fun probably the funnest part. but I wish we could have started with a complete bike like a sporty or something it would have made the finsh up alot easier. I would like to get a yamaha xs 650 they make really cool little bobbers. they already have a single back bone and there easy to hardtail. heres a link to ardcore choppers check out the blue xs with the springer front end its probably the cleanest jap chop Ive seen. www.ardcorechoppers.com/

Both look awesome. Good job guys.
My guess on the cb is because its not a v twin giving it that Harley look.

For the metric bikes, the older ones are more popular to chop and none of them were V twins. Most of the Hondas were inline 4's. Kawasaki made some that are popular to chop as well, but I think those are inline 4's as well. As far as I know, the XS650's are 2 cylinder, but side by side, but I dont know for sure. Maybe Justin knows. The guys chopping these older metric bikes, dont care about V twins, and are very proud not to be on a V twin. Take a look at www.hondachopper.com sometime. They make bumper stickers that say "Its a Honda, not a Harley dummy". I own both, and like both, but some guys are pretty hardcore, especially the XS650 and CB750 guys.

The xs650 is a 2 cylinder it reminds me of a triumph Niel that looks cool did you do the pins on the tank they look good and how did you hardtial it without struts?

Ahhhhh you noticed no struts.. I can tell your a builder as well since your the first guy to notice it right off. Everyone who has looked at the bike just stares at the back wheel, but I have to tell them whats different before it clicks. One guy asked me if its a softtail, or where the shock was hidden at.. lol. I had struts, but wanted to do something different and open that rear wheel area up to where you could see almost all the wheel. If you look close on the top pic.... imagine where passenger footpegs would be. I welded the brace off the frame directly to the swingarm. For extra strength, I welded it as well up where it used to pivot at. I didnt do it the "right" way, because I didnt want to tear the whole bike down to do it. Infact, I havent tore the bike down at all... Ive just chopped it, bobbed it, and changed stuff around. As for the pins... sadly no I still havent gotten a brush and learned yet. Those are ebay bought vinyl stripes from twisted chrome.
