Here are some updated pics of my 64 M&M combination. I got done with the diamond plate today. All that is left for the inside is the front and back headliners, then get the seat re-upholstered. Before and after pics. Most of the wood in the rear floor was rotted and some was still pretty wet. 3/4 of the original wood was tore out. Most of the sheet metal was rusted, but all was just surface rust. Nothing some rust converter didnt cure. Im an ex auto body man, so the outside is next up, and I cant wait to get her painted up and looking good as new. BEFORE PICS

Changing all the blue to black I did in the evenings after work. Its taken me about 4 weeks on and off doing. The floor I started on Wednesday night tearing out all the old stuff.. then friday at 4:00 started putting in diamond plate. I worked until 8:00, then started again on Saturday at 9:00 am, and drove it out of the shop at 4:30. Most of that time was spent cussing tools and throwing stuff.. Believe it or not, a $15 jigsaw was the best tool for cutting the plate. I tried a set of air shearers, knibblers, cutters, and even a high dollar metal skill saw, and kept going back to the jigsaw because it was the only thing that would work. If I never plate another vehicles floor again, it will be to soon.

Not for a long time. Ive always wanted to put a big block, with a blower sticking out of the hood on a hearse, but that wont happen to this one until Im good and rich (or at least buy the wife a house first)
