What padddles have you guys ran? Which ones did you like the best and why, how did they hook up or not hook up.
I have to get a new set of paddles mine won't fit on the 525. I have always liekd how the haulers hook up but would rather try a good hooking up v paddle but I want the best hooking up v paddle I can get.

Best hooking V paddle I've ever ran was the GBC Sand Shark. Same as the sand skate 2's just alot cheaper. They hooked hard for a V paddle. Better I think than my 8 paddle haulers because the blades seemed to be taller. I've run them on my 350 and on the Tri-Z and both had a hard time keeping the front end down on a hard launch. (I know they're trikes, but more so than the 8 paddle haulers).

I am with garret, go with the sharks. They're cheap, but extremely tough and hook well. If you don't go that route, I would go with some haulers. Best paddle tire I have tried, but I haven't tried to many Neil said those sand stars sucked, I remember him getting stuck all the time on that shee..... thats my two pennies drew

I ran a set of sharks at the last Beaver races on my 400ex. I was really impressed with them.
On another note Ty and I both have 05 TLD Predators he has a ported and polished carb otehr then that we both have aftermarket exhaust and identical intake systems. When we drag race he is always ahead of me by about 1 bike length. Him running 20x10x10 10 paddle haulers and me running 20x11x8 9 paddle haulers. I am sure the dieffernce is the carb because we can switch bikes and the same results. Last trip to the dunes he went and put on his sand sharks and didn't seem to loose any speed in the drags he was still ahead of me by about the same amount almost everytime.
I have been leanign towards sidewinders (okie has them and they look good) and sand stars the majority of peopel can't be wrong. I have got opinions from veteran duners and they prefer them over sand skates. I guess I need to look into sharks again. I wish there was soemplace they gave exact wieghts and paddle hieght and true width of paddles.

I have the sand stars also and ran them on my Tri-Z, they hooked really hard and I never got stuck, but the front end was never on the ground. I couldn't launch hard with those tires. No matter if I was on the handlebars or not the front end shot up instantly. Since they hook so hard I don't think they would slide around like you would expect a V paddle to. Another thing to look at- I've always ran 20x10x10 on all the tires I ran on my Tri-Z and 350X except for the Prowedge's. If you go with an 8" rim you may get different results. I've run 8 paddle Haulers, 9 paddle Haulers, and sand sharks on the 350X, and Sand Skate 2's and sand stars on my Tri-Z. Out of all of those tires the skates and sharks slid well and hooked hard in a straight line. The rest just hooked hard in a straight line but didn't slide very well for regular dune riding. Again, I ride trikes, so with a high horsepower quad you may have different results.

I'll let you know how it runs hopefully in about a month. Nmotion did the porting, but it was nothing extensive, just some cleanup I guess. They call it a "play port". I haven't fired it yet, and am planning a trip to LS March 3rd. Yeah, my brother's asking me about the swinger. I'll send you an email. Thanks man.
