Looking for a set of tires for my Tri-Zinger. Obviously don't need to be high performance or a mud tire, hell could even be a lwan tractor tire or a cart tire. Here's the problem. Stock size= 145/70/6, roughly 15" tall on a 6" diameter rim. I want to run an 18" tire for some more top speed since it's full auto. The only 18" tires I have seen have a minimum rim diameter of 8". And...... the only wheels I've found with the Zinger bolt pattern are 6". So, do any of you know of any tire (except slicks) that would be 18" tall on a 6" diameter rim, or an 8" diameter rim with my bolt pattern, 3/70?

I dont know what to tell you, if it were me. Personally I would go to the dump or around town and find some 8inch mower rims (steal rims), and if your handy with a torch, cut the centers out, cut NEW centers(with correct hole placement) and then paint them up and put them on.........The more i think about this the more I think about how bad it would look. lol if it were here and i had it, at school we have a CNC plasma cutter and some good mig welders If i come up with anymore brain storms I will let you know! drew

I would just buy a set of youth atv 8inch douglas rims. Then remove the hubs formt eh zinger and studs fromt eh hubs mark the holes and redrill the new rims. I have doen that to several sets of rims. If I end up off I just use a die grinder and make the hole perfect.

Are you positive they are 3/70? Raptor 80 wheels are 3/90, and you can get them in 8"..Chris

Yep, I did a search online and came up with a couple different sites that have bolt patterns for all of or the majority of the ATV's and it's 3/70. I checked to see if any other ATV had that pattern, but only the tri/4 Zinger has it. My uncle owns a machine shop and told me he could drill the bolt pattern into an aluminum rim if I need him to, so I may just go that route. Would it matter what rim I go with? Should I get say a raptor rim that has the 3/80 pattern, or would it even make a difference? He also said he could drill all of my wheels I have for the Tri-Z and 350X to have both patterns 4/110 and 4/115, I just have to break down all the tires.

Here's one of the sites, good info if you want to know the bolt pattern of your ATV, or search for interchangability. www.mud-throwers.com/atv_wheel_chart Now that I look at that chart, it shows the badger has the 3/70 pattern too, but doesn't list the raptor 80. I'll check around and see. I would've figured the raptor 80 would be the same as the Badger 80 with different plastics. This site also shows 3/70, but shows 3/80 for some of the "moto 4 80" but again nothing for the raptor 80. So, I'll assume that the 3/70 is correct for the Zinger. www.psep.biz/store/yamaha_atv_tires.htm
