I plan on using a marine gas cap/filler neck. It fits flush and looks pretty trick. My other option I am still considering is just turning a gas cap on the lathe and make a filler neck. I did weld it all up myself, the metal was free from the school (it was off an old boiler or something ) and was a B@#$% to weld! I am going to kreem the tank to make sure it is sealed good. Thanks for the comments guys, keep them coming, good or bad. drew

Do you have an estimate on the capacity? I'd like to do something like that with mine, but not a very good welder at all. Looks good to me.

Hey that looks great. Keep up the good work. I know what you mean some times welding that old metal can be a mother bear. So tell us what all you are doing to the tri-z. I am interested in hearing. Glenn O

As far as capcity goes, I am aiming for about 1.2-1.5gal. That is just a shot from the hip As far as the setup goes, I haven't decided on a full on drag bike, or a VERY aggressive dune bike It could go either way at this point, I have about everything i would need for either setup. Now I am starting to lean toward the dune setup, because i know I won't be the fastest guy because I don't have the $$$$ to be a contending drag racer. So more than likely it will be a dune bike. With this tank i suppose i will be carrying around gatorade bottles of premix Right now I have a complete 1983yz motor (powervalve is junk ), and a complete 87yz topend(supposedly mild port work). I also have a out of frame drag pipe, and a 40mm lectron a power jet and setup for alky..... drew
