I just got one from ATVoverstock off ebay for $125.00 Hopefully I'll be getting another parts Zinger this weekend. The guy lives in Salina and is selling cheap, it needs a new sleeve and piston, but figured I'd get the work done on that cylinder and just switch them out. With the new topend and pipe it should scoot pretty good. Would it make sense to have any porting done? I don't know of a bigger carb that's available that will work, so it may just be a waste.

The guy said all this other Zinger needs is a new piston and sleeve. It's otherwise a good complete trike. Anybody know of a company that makes a sleeve for the Zinger? I've heard that the piston is same as the PW 50, so I assume the difference is in the stroke to get an extra 10cc's? I was just gonna use it for parts, but he only wants $100 for it, so if I can dump another 1-200.00 in it to make it a good runner I'll just go that route.

It would be hard to pass up for that price even if it just sat for a couple years. Is there any old yamaha dirt biek that you could just swap engiens with so it has common parts such as a PW80?

I was told it's exactly the same as the PW50, just more displacement. I thought it was a bigger bore, but a guy over on .org said the piston is the same as the PW50 too, so I can only assume the stroke is different. That is the problem because then the PW50 sleeve would be too short. LA sleeve will custom make me one, but to have the ports matched up and all the shipping it would cost quite a bit of extra money. It may just be a parts bike after all unluss I can get the sleeve issue figured out. I would love to stick a little bigger motor in it, was thinking YZ80, but then I have clutch and shifter issues. Didn't know they made a PW80.

I maybe mistaken but the pw 50 is 50cc. They often talk about the bigbore kit for the pw 50 all that is is a tri zinger cylinder that is 60cc. I had a guy that sells pw 50 parts put a trail port and shave the head on my tri-zinger. I also had the stiffer clutch springs put on. That little sucker will scoot. I warn you if you put a dg pipe on it you will have to jet it up or it will run to lean. I also did away with the airbox and put a aircleaner with an outer wear filter. I also had to jet up for that. I promise you that little sucker runs hard. Good luck Glenn O

Do you know where I could get a new sleeve for the Zinger? That's what it needs, from what I understand the cylinder is fine, just needs to be resleeved and a new piston/rings. It already has a trashed Uni filter with no outerwear. That will be replaced, then yes I will rejet it when I get the pipe on it. I was also thinking about the stiffer clutch springs. Do you have this guy's contact info? I may just send the topend to him and have him port it and send me the springs. Did shaving the head make it to where you have to run race gas?

The name of the place is pr racing. They have a stage 1 and stage two porting and they also will shave the head. I am still running super unleaded in mine and it appears okay so far. I sent them my cylinder that I bought off ebay for 25 dollars and they bored it 20 over and sent me a yamaha piston rings and rod bearing. the bore job was 50 bucks and I think its 140 for a stage 2 port I had mine stage one ported which wasnt much. I wish I would have had the stage 2 port work. I also think the head was 60-70 to have the head shaved. They also sell jets there to. If you decide to call them talk to a guy named lou. He sounds older then Mathusala but he knows his stuff and is super nice ask him about the sleeve he would know. The number is 419 472-2277. Good luck Glenn O (ps tell him you talked to the guy from cherokee, Oklahoma)

Got the pipe on and ran it around on the snow and ice. The little trike runs good. Kind of a dog with the new pipe down low, but once it comes up on the pipe it just spins the little tires. I was out sliding around and cuttin donuts in the yard. It's a blast. I went with a 95 main jet, but they don't offer anything for a pilot jet. If it sits overnight with the cold weather I have to hit it with some starting fluid to get it fired up. After a minute or 2 it'll sit there and idle no choke. I think the hard starting is just too small of a pilot jet.
